Each figure wears a broad grey sun hat, with long braided hair falling down the back of her dress. Wicker flower baskets, individual rose stems, loose petals, leafy sprigs, scissors and illustrated seed packets fill the spaces between the larger figures.

The strong reds and pinks stand out clearly against a fresh pale green background, while touches of yellow and leafy green add detail throughout the repeat.
