Description
Description
The green floral tin is a gift in its own right. Hand-painted in Kashmir, it gives this candle gift set colour and detail before the first candle is lit, with pink, blue and purple flowers nestled among leafy sprays.
Inside are five petite terracotta candles, handmade by members of the Dalit community in India. Each is hand-poured using a beeswax blend and scented with lavender and a subtle hint of vanilla. With approximately three hours of burn time per candle, you can enjoy them individually over several evenings or arrange them safely apart for a candlelit occasion.
The round stainless steel tin has plenty of purpose afterwards. Once emptied and washed, use it for biscuits, sewing essentials or small keepsakes. Its decorated lid and sides make it a storage piece you can happily leave on show.
A colourful housewarming, birthday or thank-you gift that combines fragrance, handmade detail and something useful to keep.
Why You’ll Love This
- Something remains after the candlelight: the reusable tin becomes a decorative storage container.
- Five separate moments to enjoy: light the candles individually whenever the occasion suits.
- Floral fragrance with gentle sweetness: lavender is softened by a subtle hint of vanilla.
- Two kinds of handwork: hand-poured candles in handmade clay pots accompany a tin painted by hand in Kashmir.
The Making Behind the Gift
The candles are handmade by members of the Dalit community in India. Their sale supports our supplier’s work providing education, shelter and care for street children and vulnerable groups. www.dalit.co.uk
