Natural Terracotta

The handmade pot may display small differences in colouring, surface texture and shape. These are normal characteristics of natural, unglazed terracotta rather than product faults.

Terracotta is also porous and can transfer heat or traces of wax. Always use the candle with a suitable protective plate underneath, even on heat-resistant furniture.

Candle Care and Safety

• Read and retain the safety information supplied with the candle
• Place on a flat, stable, heat-resistant and non-flammable surface
• Protect the surface beneath the terracotta pot
• Trim all three wicks before relighting, following the product label
• Keep the wax pool clear of matches, wick trimmings and debris
• Never leave a burning candle unattended
• Extinguish before leaving the room or going to sleep
• Keep away from children, pets, draughts and flammable materials
• Do not position beneath shelves or enclosed surfaces
• Leave at least 10cm between burning candles
• Do not touch or move while lit or while the wax remains hot
• Stop using if the terracotta becomes cracked or damaged
• Follow the maximum burn duration stated on the safety label

Reusing the Pot

Allow the candle and pot to cool completely before removing the remaining wax and wick fittings. Do not pour melted wax down a sink.

Clean the vessel carefully and allow it to dry thoroughly. Add a liner or suitable drainage layer before introducing plants, and continue protecting water-sensitive surfaces underneath.

Unless separately confirmed as food-safe, reuse the pot for plants or decorative storage rather than serving food.
