Description

Solid Oak Serving Tray with Leather Handles – The Hearth Tray

Made by hand in England, with natural waney edges and floral-engraved leather handles.

The natural edge of the oak is part of what makes The Hearth Tray distinctive. Gently waney along both sides, this solid oak serving tray follows the character of the timber, bringing visible grain and an individual outline to a useful everyday piece.

The leather handles carry a delicate engraved floral pattern and are secured with metal studs. They add a softer texture alongside the oak and provide a comfortable grip when carrying drinks, small plates or afternoon tea from kitchen to table.

At approximately 44.5 × 29cm, the tray offers room for a small serving arrangement and works equally well as a base for favourite objects on a coffee table or sideboard. Leave it out between uses to enjoy the wood and engraved detail.

Each tray is made by hand in England and individually finished. Variations in grain, colour and edge shape mean your tray will have its own character while sharing the same practical design.

Why You’ll Love This

  • Natural edges worth displaying: the waney sides preserve the individual outline of the oak.

  • Detail where you hold it: floral engraving gives the leather handles a decorative finish.

  • Useful throughout the day: carry morning coffee, afternoon tea or small plates for guests.

  • A place for everyday objects: use it to gather a small display on a coffee table or sideboard.

  • Individually finished in England: natural differences in the timber give each tray its own appearance.

Care Guide

The oak has an oiled finish that brings out its natural grain.

  • Wipe clean with a soft, lightly damp cloth and dry promptly.

  • Do not soak, immerse in water or put in the dishwasher.

  • Wipe up spills promptly and use coasters beneath hot cups or damp glasses.

  • Keep away from direct heat and prolonged strong sunlight.

  • Wipe the leather handles gently, avoiding excess moisture.

  • If the oak begins to look dry, refresh it with the same oil used originally or a compatible product, following its instructions. Keep wood oil away from the leather.

Lift using both handles and distribute the contents evenly.
