A little architecture, lit from within
Open the grey velvet covers and a fan of illustrated landmarks unfolds. The Velvet Accordion Lamp by Gingko Design brings together soft velvet, crisp pleats and Hello Monkey’s architectural line drawings, with light filtering through the patterned Tyvek folds.
It is a compact lamp with plenty to look at: a lovely finishing touch on a bedside table, a shelf or a quiet corner of the sitting room. Fold it closed and it becomes a small hexagonal object, easy to put away or take from room to room.
Open, shape and enjoy
Opening the lamp switches on the LEDs; closing it switches them off. Close and reopen to move between warm and cool white light. The magnetic covers can meet to form a full circle, or you can arrange the folds into a fan. A matching magnetic velvet lanyard offers another way to display it.
A thoughtful gift for someone who enjoys architecture, travel and clever design, with a pattern that is just as interesting by day as it is illuminated after dark.

Care and use
Open and close gently, supporting the covers rather than pulling the pleats. Dust carefully with a soft, dry cloth. The Tyvek folds are tear-resistant and water-resistant, but the complete lamp is not waterproof. Keep the velvet and electrical parts dry and use indoors. Fold closed before storing or carrying.
